I am a doctoral researcher in Cyber-Physical Systems at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, working with Prof. Subrat Kar. My doctoral research investigates cross-modal gait identification and behavioral sensing, building recognition systems that fuse structural vibration and vision to understand how people move. Before this, I completed an M.Tech in Mechatronics Engineering at IIEST Shibpur, working on human movement identification using seismic and vision sensors.
My path into research has run alongside applied and industry work. As Product Architect & Deep Learning Engineer, I led the design of a vibration-sensor-based predictive maintenance system that secured national incubation support. As a research intern, I built a pruned TensorFlow Lite model for on-device object detection at Proxmaq, implemented Bi-LSTM networks for real-time arrhythmia classification at RemoCare, and developed CNN/LSTM models for seismic human activity recognition at CSIR-CMERI.
My work has been recognized with a Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (2021-2025), consecutive IEEE Signal Processing Society Scholarships (2024, 2025), and selection as one of 200 young researchers worldwide to attend the 13th Heidelberg Laureate Forum in 2026. My research appears in venues including Nature Scientific Data, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, and IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, alongside three patents in sensing and identification systems. Beyond the lab, I teach as an NPTEL graduate teaching assistant, and enjoy running, swimming, and writing.
